Wow! I am surprised! Dr Alan Lourens personally wrote me an e-mail addressing my opinions on how he interpreted and conducted Third Symphony. It was enriching to learn why he conducted it the way he did and how his opinions differ from mine, especially for the Mesto. It was nevertheless a pleasant surprise for me! Hmmm... I wonder if Zubin Mehta will do the same and e-mail me and tell me why his Beethoven 5 was so mild? Haha!
