Rantings

Oh how I love the SYF.

I just love the dramas that can unfold from the simplest of things, like for example: lights that are too dim.

And who can forgo the endless flaming that goes online? The interesting behind-the-scenes gossips. The loyal fans of some instructors versus the loyal fans of other instructors. The wannabe analyzer. The 24/7 moderator. It goes on and on!

Don't you love it?

Apart from the fact that there are more teaching jobs around the period of SYF, nothing else about it attracts me.

The whole idea is just damn bloody wrong.

I don't blame the instructors for it. I don't blame the school for it. It's how we live in Singapore.

Paper qualifications.

Sigh.

On a more positive note, I’m definitely still alive.

I went up to KL 2 weeks ago to listen to the MPO. I must say that they are really good! The oboe concerto, which was supposed to be my main objective, was rather disappointing.

I find it ironic that that the MPO insists that their audience has to be in a jacket or batik shirt while their soloist is there on stage in just a long-sleeved shirt and pants.

Have you ever made a mistake and repeat it over and over again even though you know it was wrong?

My Windows Vista upgrade CD has arrived in the mail but I'm rather hesitant to install at the moment. Having read about so many problems with the new OS, I'm getting a bit paranoid. The thought of not being able to carry out my tasks on my laptop are haunting me! Okay, a certain goat is going call me a geek at this point.

Meanwhile, I’ve changed phone. Again. Okay, this is old news but considering that I haven’t update for months, it might be news to you!

I won $20 from Toto today. For a moment I thought it was going to be a few hundred dollars but I was wrong. All the panic for nothing! Well, at least I won something.
