An Ambush and A Magical World

Scene: Café Cartel

I approached my table greeted by an unusual sight.

There were three girls squatting in the most unfeminine way next to it.

Taking my seat, I watched silently as the three school girls squat stealthy besides my table, whispering excitedly at each other.

Slowly they inch forward to a table far inside the café, squat-walking their way there like clumsy penguins.

As thought as there was a telepathic countdown in their heads, they all sprung out of their cover and ambushed their target.

I went: "Oh."

Elvin Ng was sitting at the table.

You would find the link useful if you have the faintest idea of who he is. I didn't too, I only know him as a face off TV. I didn't know his name until I went to the Mediacorp website to check so as to make this blog entry possible. Is it a sign that I'm not watching enough TV?

Call me a late bloomer if you like but I recently finally started to read Harry Potter.

I must say that it's not too bad, rather entertaining if I would say so.

I like the distinct British tone and slang used in the book. Must be an influence from Roald Dahl from my childhood days.

In any case, I don't have to suffer the agony of waiting for the next book to find out what happens next and I can happily read at my own leisure.

Ah, the joy of reading!

A Bag

You purchase a bag.

The salesperson informs you that it's limited edition and there are only 100 pieces of that colour in Singapore.

You walk past the shop 2 days later and it's sold out.

You feel happy having an unique bag for next 2 months.

You meet first person carrying same bag sitting next to you in a cinema.

Darn.
