The day

It seems that the hottest topic around on everyone's blog in the TAB circle now is the Wong-Tan saga. And hence, I shall try my best to avoid this topic today!

My exams are coming in 2 months' time; I'm starting to get stressed up. My minor scales are still quite wobbly. The melodic minors with the sharpen 6ths and 7ths are really confusing me sometimes. Eb.. F.. G.. Ab.. Bb.. Cb.. Eh, wait! C.. D.. Eb.. Well, you get the idea.

On the other hand, I think my tonguing will definitely improve. Try tonguing triplets at crotchet=130+ for like half a page!

I guess the lesson today was generally good. Things to do now:

1. Memorize all my minor scales, harmonic and melodic.
2. Brush up my sight-reading. (It was horrible today!)
3. Try to play more in tune; I'm not still sure of Xva's intonation range.
4. Make better reeds!

I left my reedcase at my tutor's place again. Inside was a reed I wanted to give my student for her exam tomorrow and all my reeds! Tsk, now I have to go make a new reed tomorrow, which reminds me. I need to sharpen my knives. Urgh.
