Oh wow!

I have a fan!

This is quite amazing. Oh well, at least someone thinks this blog is very much readable. Thank you, whoever you are! It'd be nice if you could identify yourself. =)

Let's see, the last time I blogged was on Sunday. Pretty short posting about Formula 1. Oh well. I didn't say anything about the SAF concert, did I?

SAF Central Band In Harmony 19 - Frank Ticheli
I think it's quite a forgettable concert personally. That's just for me. Overall, the entire concert was great! In fact, it must been one of the best concert that I've played for them so far (the 4th already). I think Frank Ticheli is one of the better composer-conductor around. I would say that most composers are not cut out to be conductors. Mostly. Of course there are exceptions, like Frank. He really does know his music very well.

On my own part, I thought I did quite badly. No perfect solo. Perhaps the only one that was deemed passable by me was the small 4 notes solo in Pacific Fanfare. Now, the interesting thing is: I was told I did well for my solos! From not one, not two but many! Well, it's at least 4-5, which I still consider quite amazing considering the low rating I gave myself. Maybe I really do have too-high standards. Haha! But still, it doesn't mean I will lower it. No way!

On the bright side, my reeds proved itself to work for the whole concert (half actually, I only played for 4 pieces). My skills are starting to stablise. About time too! Finally!

Oh! I just got news from my friend that my new knife, thumbrest and PINK thread are here! Woohoo!

Bee: If you are reading this, I'm gonna say this again! I'm really really really surprised! *falls off chair*
