my thoughts |
I saw this in the papers this morning: Have you ever been to a hawker centre and see a long queue at a stall? And you think: "The food at this stall must be good! There are so many people queuing up for it!" However, upon sampling the food, you discover that it's totally mediocre. Have you ever thought that there was a queue in the first place only because the hawker is slow? Well, I haven't! * There are some quite clever advertisements on TV these days; I always enjoy a good humourous advertisement with a good punch line. The couriers' ads are pretty good: The delivery man who walked on water, I like that concept. The Mentos ad had me scratching my head though. Why would anyone paint their floor? And in lime green? For anyone who can trap themselves on the balcony after painting the floor lime green, I don't know what to say. If I am dumb enough to trap myself on the balcony. I think I would chat to the nice pretty lady on the next balcony who was nice enough to toss me a stick of Mentos. Heck. I would jump over to the next balcony if the distance is near enough! The man in the ad apparently had the smart idea of just painting the soles of his sneakers green and walking back into the room. He must be gay. Or dumb. * On my way to camp yesterday, I saw a sign.
